Treehouse

Deep in the woods covered with snow, hidden among towering tall trees, there is a tree house. The windows are as shiny as polished gold. The lights in the house glow like a gold mine of fireflies. The varnish gives the wood a golden glow. The snow around the tree is as smooth as a soft and silky blanket. The air is cold and chilly. When the door opens a blast of warm air floods out.

The fire in the brass metal fireplace leaps up and down and sounds like an old radio cracking. There are no distractions thanks to the thick windows. A glistening sun settles over the sea. And not a cloud for miles. Back inside the glinting lights illuminate the room like turning on a torch in a pitch black room. The temperature inside is not too hot and not too cold. There are see through stairs that lead to the kitchen.

In the kitchen and dining area there is a little room up top with an en suite. There's a smooth wooden kitchen with a big curve on the end that allows lots of room to cool. It's got a 100 star microwave, freezer, & stove. It has heaps of drawers for 1000$ kitchen equipment. Sitting on top of the bar is a floating wine bottle with ginger beer in it. If you take it away to drink it and a new one appears. Next to the bar are floating seats. They're so comfortable it's like sitting on marshmallows.

There's also a trophy room/memory room with lots of pictures and some old toys. The picture frames are as shiny as pearls. There's also a chocolate fountain there too. The chocolate spits out into a small pool for scooping up some lovely tasty chocolate with a cup. Upstairs there's a hot spa with blasters you can lie there and relax. Behind the spa there's a juice dispenser with 20 different flavours. The room is 100% gold.

The shape of the bedroom is like an egg. Windows slope up on an angle because of the unique shape of the room. Beside the bed there is an egg shaped window to look out of and see nature. At the end of the bed there is a 80 inch tv with an Xbox and a PlayStation connected to it and a desk that has a personal computer on it for games. The duvet on the bed is white with two dark bull racing stripes down it like a race car. It's really comfortable like sleeping on a cloud. Just push a button and the bed is made.

This is the treehouse I would love and I'm going there today.

Air legend

Air Legend

Once there was an Air God living in space in another galaxy. He wanted to make another planet of air and fresh things. So, the God of Air, Tane the God of the Forest, Tangaroa the God of the Sea and the God of the Sun together went to a galaxy so far away. Inside that galaxy they started working on one planet that failed. It was called Mars it worked for a while then gravity affected it so all the water and oxygen floated away. After 30 centurys they formed a new planet made out of the sun, air and water, plants they called this planet Earth. Now every 30 century's the Gods come back to that earth, and admires their success making the world with lots of air. This is the story of the Gods creating earth.

Park

03/11/15
Park

In the park you can play on the playground, climb trees, bike around, play with a frisbee or ball, sit on the bench, have a picnic and walk your dog or cat if you have one. My favourite activity is biking in the park. I race my brother and my dad around.

My second favourite is to play on the swing. I also play who can swing the highest but just with my brother on this one because my dad can swing very high. Third is playing the frisbee with my brother and my dad. We throw to each other with the frisbee. Those are my favourite things to do in the park. The most common thing I see people doing is having a lot of picnics and barbeques with friends a family.

Hiding spot

Hiding Spot
I plopped myself down in the bushes I was playing hide & seek at my preschool. I was peeking through the hole in the playground climbing wall. There was a loud drill ringing in my ear, kids were yelling and laughing and  parents were talking. I could see my friend looking around for me and my other friend hiding in the other bush. I felt safe and I had a grin across my cheeks. I could feel the leaves brushing softly against my skin and the pieces of wood were squashing tightly on my arm. In the corner of my eye I could see the teacher and the kids I could see the classroom. I was slowly backing up then I felt the fence behind me, then the teacher saw me and said "Get out of that bush you're breaking it".  So moved and hid under the playground. Now I felt less safe because I was more exposed than my original spot, a shiver ran down my spine. I felt the soft rubbery ground under my feet, I was squashing my back up against the wooden climbing wall behind me. I blended in with the darkness under the shadow of the slide. The bell rang, "yay" I shouted out. The teacher rang the bell, yelling "PLAY TIMES OVER."

Term 2 Reflection

Reflection
My reflection of term 2:

In term 2 I did water monitoring where we checked the water's temperature and the pH. Ph is how much the water acidity the water has. It goes from 1 to 11 if it's 1 there's no acid if it is11 it's not drinkable. I learnt about pure waters ph is 7. We tested the water from the Avon river to see if it is safe so people can drink also we learnt about underwater plants in term 2.

After learning about water monitoring we went for a trip and we learnt about invertebrates and water. There was an invertebrate called the backswimmer, that can't breath under water so it grabs air with its claws and goes underwater and swims backwards. We also learnt how to catch the invertebrates. I learnt about the invertebrates habitats, their diet and how they protect themselves. We tested the invertebrates so we can learn about their  biology and check if they’re always safe from dirty water.

Towards the end of the term I did my Kahoot quiz which is a fun online quiz game. I learned a lot about waterways and pollution. While I did the kahoot quiz I worked with Felix R.L and Henri.

I had fun while doing this project. It was fun to work because I enjoyed these people’s company. I did the Kahoot quiz to inform others to not litter and avoid polluting the waterways doing the nasty stuff like littering. If people keep polluting, it will make all the water’s ph go higher and turn water to acid. I hope everyone learns what I did in term 2.

TheFINALE!!!:
In the finale I learnt about more greetings and learnt more Māori words I saw some cool creations as well.

Connections:
1.My connections are that my brother has done this before with mrs webster. Connection term 1.
2.Last year we learnt about bugs and invertebrates. Connection term 1.
3.In term 2 we did water and the invertabratets from term 1 need water. Connection
 term 1 & 2.
4.I have made a quiz before. Connection term 2.
5.Ive learnt about the back swimmer before. connection term 1.

Compare & Contrast

Compare and Contrast of the Longfin Eels, Lamprey Eels and Water Boatman's

The Longfin Eels diet consists of invertebrates e.g water boatmen and backswimmers, it also eats small birds like ducklings, small fish, anything dead that falls into the water. Lamprey Eels diet is the same as the Longfin eels.

On the other hand  the Water Boatman's diet consists only of plankton.

Although their habitats are the same, they all live in a freshwater habitat and all are in the same food chain, their diets are different.

Water monitoring process writing

6/5/15
Water Monitoring Process Writing
I do my water monitoring every morning on my sheets checking the temperature putting the date

First I test the pH, if the indicator strip is green the water is good, if it is red or dark blue it could make your blood toxicity higher if you drink it from the acid.

We use a special tool called TDS it  to check for total dissolved solids.

We check the water for micro-organisms and invertebrates, they’re tiny creatures that live in the water e.g the back swimmers.

I am doing this because I want to learn how the water works, how the water
produced, how dirty our water and  how we make the water better.

Observational writing

Observational writing
My leaf has 4 colours on it has purple green white and brown. The colours do not influence each other. When the leaf is far away all the colours blend together. If the leaf is under the light it does not affect the colour. If I am looking at my object outside it makes my object look pitch black and crispy. And there's the light green inside the dark green. It looks like a old wise king.

It feels crispy and soft and looks emerald shiny. It smells like fresh nature. It's noise is a loud rustling wind noise like birds whistling crackling in the wind.

Blessing

Sunflower Blessing

I give you the sprouts of a tree. I give you the peace of the Heavens

And the life of the gods the leaves of a beautiful rose also.

I give you the braveness of a warrior. I  give you the smell Perfume.

The water of the glimmering sea. I also give thought of a human.

I also give the flavour of a apple tree. I give you the strength of a thousand men.

And it will be your life's work to put  layer upon delicate layer.

The Smell of Summer

It was summer☀️

Have you ever smelled summer?

Flowers in the wind trees growing and running on the crusty sand

That was summer?

Remember that time

You tried running deeper into the hot pool and you were sweaty

It was warm but nice

That was summer?

Remember that time

The wind blew your hat away it was a

Bit cold but nice

That was summer?

If you try very hard

Can you remember we played on the play ground

For a long time you

Were so hungry and you were so sweaty you couldn't

Take of your shirt it was very hard

When you had to take a bath?
